Frequently Asked Questions

How does the check-in work?

You can check-in by yourself via electronic smart lock anytime as of 2 p.m. on your arrival date. We will send you the access codes along with detailed arrival information at least 5 days prior to your arrival date.

If you prefer to meet up with us at the apartment so we can check you in personally or to simply get to know each other we are more than happy to make an appointment. If we are not out of town or at sleep at the time of your arrival, we are happy to welcome you personally and show you the apartment.

When can I check-in? When do I have to leave the apartment?

Check-in: 2 p.m.

Check-out: 10 a.m.

Is there a late check-out?

We are always happy to offer our guests a later check-out (free of charge) if there are no new guests arriving on the given day. So if you would like to check out later please let us know. We can give you a definite confirmation one day prior to your scheduled departure date.

How can I cancel my reservation?

You can cancel your reservation free of charge until 14 days before your arrival date by simply sending us an e-mail to booking@concept-apartments.at. If you cancel your reservation until 14 days before your arrival date, all payments already received from you will be remitted to you in full promptly upon receipt of your cancellation notice. Refunds will be credited to your original method of payment.

If you cancel your reservation within 14 days prior to your arrival date the following cancellation fees apply:

  • In case of cancellation from 14 days to 7 days prior to the arrival date: 90 percent. of the full price. The applicable refund amount will be remitted to you promptly upon receipt of your cancellation notice. Refunds will be credited to your original method of payment.
  • In case of cancellation as of 7 days before the arrival date: 100 percent. of the full price.

Where can I park my car and are parking fees charged?

On weekends and public holidays:

The apartment building does not provide for a parking garage but parking spaces are usually very easy to find around the corner (e.g. in Treustraße or Webergasse). Parking will be free of charge from Fridays 10 p.m. until Mondays 9 a.m. as well as on public holidays. So if you stay at The BL42 during such times only, we recommend finding a parking space around the corner. However, please do not park in Wallensteinstraße or Klosterneuburger Straße as these streets are subject to the rules of the short-term parking zone and therefore not necessarily free of charge on Saturdays (what is a short-term parking zone? ).

On weekdays (other than public holidays):

If your stay is during weekdays (other than public holidays) we recommend parking at the Park&Ride Spittelau which is located at the subway station Spittelau, i.e. only one subway station and 1min ride away from The BL42’s location. This is because the entire area – such as most centrally located districts in Vienna –  is a short-term parking zone (Kurzparkzone) subject to considerable fees (What is a Kurparkzone? ). The fees (daily and weekly rates) at the Park&Ride can be viewed at the website: (http://bestinparking.at/garage/wien/spittelauer-laende/12).

Is there a hairdryer in the apartment?

Of course!

The apartment has a “French balcony”. What is that? Can we sit out there?

A French balcony is a tiny balcony for one or – if you like it cosy – two persons to step outside to get some fresh air or – the opposite – to smoke a cigarette, for example. There is not enough room for a seating area so unfortunately you cannot sit out there.

May I smoke in the apartment?

The BL42 is smoke-free but if you want to enjoy a cigarette you can to do so on the French balcony of the apartment (an ash-tray is waiting out there for you). Please make sure to close the balcony door behind you. But, again, smoking is strictly forbidden in the apartment (and if you do, we will have to charge additional cleaning fees in the amount of EUR 100,-).

Are pets allowed?

Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate any pets.

What is a Kurzparkzone?

All districts in Vienna are short-term parking zones (Kurzparkzonen). This means that at from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays (unless it is a public holiday) and – in some business streets from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. – also on Saturdays:

  • parking is only allowed for a certain period of time (usually 2 hours) at a parking space (meaning you would have to move your car to another parking space after the expiry of the time limit) and
  • you would have to pay a parking fee by way of buying “parking tickets” (Parkscheine) and visibly placing them inside your car at the windscreen.

If you are parking in certain business streets such as Wallensteinstraße or Klosterneuburger Straße the short-term parking applies from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. until 12 a.m. and the time limit for parking in one parking space is 1,5 hours.

You can buy parking tickets in tobacco shops, gas stations and post offices. Note that there is a tobacco shop at the subway station “Friedensbrücke” (a 2min walk from the apartment – just cross the bridge).
